MEPG Assists Vietnam Developer in search for US based Architectural Firm

Khai Sang Corporation, based in Ho Chi Minh City, has engaged our firm for engineering services on several international school campuses over the years.   Our latest project with them was the 320,000 square foot Emasi Plus - Water Point Campus in Ben Luc, Long An Province, Vietnam.   Designs are complete and the project is in the process of receiving LEED Silver certification. MEPG provided M-E-P, Fire Protection & ELV design services.

Recently the Chairman of Khai Sang had a different request for MEPG.

The Chairman has a Vision to “Develop a leading cancer hospital with global expertise for local Vietnamese at affordable expense”. His desire for this Vietnam project was also to engage an architectural firm, based in the United States with experience in Vietnam. The firm needed to have a substantial design resume for cancer care and other healthcare facilities both here in the US as well as internationally.   Because of our ties to the US and Vietnam markets, MEPG was asked to assist in finding such a firm.

MEPG was happy to assist Khai Sang Corporation with this endeavor. After weeks of research and multiple zoom meetings, the Chairman traveled to the US for networking events, site visits, multiple architectural firm visits and additional interview sessions until a decision was made.   The Chairman was very pleased to select Perkins Eastman out of New York to help make his vision become a reality.

The project is in its early stages of design and MEP Green Design & Build will also be providing the engineering services for the project. Be on the lookout for future articles on this healthcare facility!
