From September 29 to October 1, 2024, MEP Green Design & Build had the opportunity to exhibit at the Florida Plans & Construction (FPC) Seminar and Expo, held at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, FL. This annual event is a key gathering for healthcare design and construction professionals throughout the state, offering insights into the latest trends and requirements for healthcare facilities. The FPC Expo provided an ideal forum for MEPG to showcase our growing capabilities in healthcare engineering and to connect with industry leaders.
Representing MEPG were Pat Powell, our Director of Business Development, and Kiana Olmstead, Business Development Manager for the SE US and Caribbean. As first-time attendees, we focused on presenting our work within the healthcare sector—a market we are actively expanding. Given the scale of the healthcare industry in Florida, the FPC Expo was a strategic opportunity for us to deepen our understanding of the local landscape and build relationships essential for our firm’s growth in this market.
Our booth highlighted some of our recent healthcare projects and attracted the interest of facility directors, architects, contractors, and other key professionals in the field. The event allowed us to position MEPG as an emerging MEP engineering design firm committed to delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions for healthcare facilities.
Though we did not attend the seminars, the FPC Seminar and Expo’s focus on healthcare construction codes and regulations—facilitated in collaboration with the AHCA Office of Plans and Construction and CMS—reinforced the importance of staying current with industry standards. The event’s dedication to providing Florida’s design and construction professionals with accurate, timely information underscored the role of innovation and regulatory knowledge in successful healthcare facility projects.
